Heliconia psittacorum
The flower is a unique flower. The flower has pairs of red petals and then groups of yellow petals. At the tips of the yellow petals, there are black tips. The petals of the flower don't go to the side they grow upwards away from gravity. There is only one flower and one stem. The leaves are linear and grow out of the plant below the flower.
The plant lives in a compact area of its own kind. The ground is soft and is filled with moisture and nutrients, but I think the plants of its own kind are fighting for their resources to live. The plant was found by the exit of the Christain Liberty Academy next to the driveway.
