Description:

The Asian Comma (Polygonia c-aureum) is a middle-size butterfly found in Japan (from Hokkaidō to Tanegashima), Korean Peninsula, China, Taiwan, and Indochina. It has a wingspan of 27 mm. Wings are orange with black dots.

thanks Daniele. There must be something wrong with my eyes, as all these Asian Comma's look different to me. Maybe the different colours are sex related. I'll have to look more closely. I've posted several thinking they were different species!
