Black Monopis Moth

Description:

This tiny moth is said to have a wing span of 15 mm. It was black mostly with a white stripe running from head down to the inner margins of the fore wings. The costal margin was white but broken by black. Each fore wing had a broad comma shaped marking.

Habitat:

Spotted in the house drawn by bright lights.

Notes:

The caterpillars live in cases that they carry around. They are said to feed on dirty sheep fleece.
