The spider was barely 1 cm in height and was black with white markings on it. Please help me ID it.

This is a type of jumping spider, Family Salticidae. Most salticids, 5026 described species in 550 genera, live in the tropics, so this one may be hard to key out. More info is available at: http://ednieuw.home.xs4all.nl/Spiders/Sa...
