Description:

Brown moth with more than 3cm wingspan. Mocis undata (Fabricius, 1775) is a species of moth of Tribe Ophiusini, Subfamily Catocalinae of Family Noctuidae. It is found in the Afrotropical and Oriental Regions, including India.

Habitat:

Spotted in the laundry area, backyard.

Thanks nexttogone. I wasn't even aware that they were on our ceiling until I joined Noah. Now I'm amazed at how intricate their wing patterns are.. you just have to love nature... what they lack in size, they made up for their beauty.
