Grass Sharpshooter

Draeculacephala minerva

Description:

Green leafhopper with a very pointed head. There is a pattern on the head that consists of thin stripes. The tip of the "nose" is black. The eyes are yellow and the body is green with yellow highlights. There appears to be a small amount of blue if the light hits it just right.

Habitat:

This hopper jumped from the grass as I walked toward it and onto a dead leaf in a marshy area.
