Lactifluus volemus

Description:

Two convex orange mushrooms (2.5" and 4.25" diameters). Creamy peach gills decurrent (running down stem). Exudes thick white milky substance upon being broken/damaged. No noticeable bruising or discoloration. Doesn't seem to have much of an odor.

Habitat:

Growing out of a hillside, partially buried in soil. At the base of a hardwood tree. Near mixed hardwood forest.
