Short-finned eels

Anguilla australis sb. Australis

Description:

Short-finned eels, in Avon river. We were feeding the papango scaups, when those (an many more) eels showed up, and began eating some of the bread we were throwing in the water, and they were so brave to be fed, even straight from our hands! (Pics were snapped before the Christchurch earthquakes).
