Description:

The eastern blue-tailed butterfly is a common butterfly in the eastern United States. The males are a cobalt blue while the females are a more slate gray. They fly low to the ground.

Habitat:

Meadows, grassy areas, pastures. This eastern blue-tailed butterfly was spotted in the woods at Kinder Farm Park, Anne Arundel County, Millersville, Maryland
