Description:

”Polygonum bistorta is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.5 m (1ft 8in) by 0.5 m (1ft 8in). It is hardy to zone 4. It is in flower from June to September, and the seeds ripen from Aug to October. The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Insects.”

Habitat:

”Damp meadows and by water, especially on acid soils; Northern and central Europe, including Britain, mountains of S. Europe, western and central Asia.”
