Peltigera praetextata
Foliose lichen. The upper surface of fresh thallus is tan to brown-grey or brownish black, minutely felted-tomentose at least at the margins but tomentum usually invisible when wet. It is bullately wrinkled, the margins of older thalli are isidiate, often also with groups of laminar isidia (but isidia may be lacking from younger lobes or those with with apothecia). The lower surface is white-tomentose, with unbranched rhizines.
On a big granite rock. Oak and chestnut forest.
