Dark-Spotted Frog

Pelophylax nigromaculatus

Description:

The dark-spotted frog is a species of true frog found in East Asia. Adults are 6-9 cm in length.

Habitat:

They are found across much of eastern and northeastern China, the Amur River valley in Russia, the Korean Peninsula, and most of Japan, although they are not found on Hokkaidō.

Notes:

While I was walking home from school, I saw this frog sitting next to a pond.
