Description:

Many butterflies have emerged in the past weeks. The Pioneer is commonly seen. Adults feeding on flowers of the Wild Caper Bush as well as other plants (Composites).. Larvae feeding on the leaves. A number of pupae attached to branches which have been stripped of leaves. Ranges from South Asia through sub-Saharan Africa.

Habitat:

Larvae feeding on Capparis sp. growing in rocky outcrop--Aravalli quartzite.
