Nest of Brown Paper Wasp

Polistes gigas

Description:

Their innate preferences for nest-building sites leads them to commonly build nests on human habitation, where they can be very unwelcome; although generally not aggressive, they can be provoked into defending their nests. All species are predatory, and they may consume large numbers of caterpillars, in which respect they are generally considered beneficial.

Habitat:

Volcanic Riparian Village, Suburb

Notes:

Im sorry can't help much with a camera techniqes. I just using a digital camera with a macro mode on. Im not using DSLR Camera type. But you can check this for a picture info, may be it help with your DSLR Camera. (With a Win OS) After download the picture (any beautiful picture) right click at the picture -> properties > and then Details. Grab the bar down until you can found the camera information. You can see the Flash mode, ISO speed, F-stop and Exposure time. And that the way you remainder between an original photo and edited photo too. If you using another OS just try to check the picture propertes.
