Peron's Tree Frog

Litoria peroni

Notes:

Seen on the floor of a long-drop dunny at about 9pm at the Lake Murphy Conservation Park camping grounds. I'm going with this ID due to the emerald spots and yellow/black mottled armpits - I can't see cross-shaped pupils but there is no way I was lying down on that dunny floor to get a better angle. According to Frogs Australia, this must be right on the northern edge of this frog's distribution if I have the ID correct. Thanks to Alice Greenup for posting a spotting (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/152...) which tipped me off as to what this frog might be.

I'd agree with that ID Shanna due to, as you said, the mottling and emerald flecks. The species that looks most similar to this one is the tyler's tree frog, however this lacks the marbling under the armpits, which your has so i'd be pretty confident with Peron's. Great spotting and thanks for taking the time to have a look at mine, glad it could help you out!
