Greater Racket Tailed Drongo

Dicrurus Paradiseus

Description:

Blue Black bird with red eyes, large tufted forehead, forked tail with long bare outer shafts ending in twisted pendants.

Habitat:

Our garden, near jungle and mangroves, Rasada Phuket, Thailand

Notes:

This lovely bird has the most amazing call. (check this out http://www.xeno-canto.org/species/Dicrur... ) This one was with its friend, ripping off parts of the banana tree leaves. The interesting thing was it was pouring down with rain, and there was a fierce wind, the leaves were blowing everywhere and the birds were ripping like crazy, each of them on different ends of the banana tree. I see them in my garden a lot but have never seen them do that again.
