Description:

Adults are bright orange with black markings. Also having a dark phase. Young are mostly black with orange markings.

Habitat:

Low wet areas, woodlands, pastures, and ditches. Can range outward in larger migrations in nymph stage.

Notes:

Slow moving, hard to kill, noxious to predators.
