Spotting

Description:

About an inch long. Dark grey, textured. It actually played dead and rolled over when the iPhone camera got too close, and stayed frozen when I uprighted it with a twig.

Habitat:

Found scrambling over sandstone in dry sclerophyll forest at the lookout at the end of the Box Vale Track near Mittagong, New South Wales.

Notes:

Some kind of weevil?

It is surely a weevil, but I'm not sure which one.
