Description:

This very common butterfly has a body size of some 3 cm, while the wingspan reaches about 5,5 - 6 cm. Wings are whitish-pale yellow with black markings.

Habitat:

Found on montane dry meadow, on forest margin. This meadow was in an agricultural area of Bugey, eastern France, a region of green rolling hills covered by mixed forests, meadows and pastures.
