Kari is correct. The species was changed after the last dune scorpion died, but for some reason signage updating was overlooked by staff in charge of it. I know I mentioned it but it's above my pay grade. ;-)

Thanks for the correction. I got the species name from the exhibit so I'll let them know.

Nice photo, but it is misidentified. The dune scorpion has large hands and has no dark markings. =)
