Mom foraging for food. Did a broken wing display!! Could not capture it on camera.
Thanks Neil. The broken wing display is a way of protecting chicks. These being shorebirds, I was a little surprised to find it so far inland.
Ah not a guy. She's beautiful.
He's a lovely little guy. Not unlike our Peewee's in Oz. Is the broken wing display a way of luring predators away from chicks? I'd love to see that. Great spotting, Hema.
