Woolly Bear Catepillar

Pyrrharctia isabella

This wooly bear Catepillar that was found in Elk Neck on a family camping trip a couple weeks ago once again spotted by my father.

These catepillars are RARE to find during the fall because they hibernate during the winter under something that can sustain their warmth. They then form a cacoon when spring comes around. These catepillars then turn into very cool Isabella tiger moths!
