To me this does not look like a Plains Zebra at all, I would say it is a Mountain Zebra for several reasons. It appears to have a dewlap which the Plains Zebra does not have; it has numerous thin, vertical stripes almost to its hind legs with the last few turning into broad horizontal stripes across the sides of the rump; it shows no evidence of shadow stripes which are normally clearly visible on a Plains Zebra.
