Eudyptula minor
A dead little blue penguin, at Scorching Bay, Wellington NZ. As soon as we found him, we called the local DOC, and we also send a detailed email, so that the ranger could find the dead bird and examine it's wounds. The penguin's head was severed, and missing, although the body looked pretty fresh. We also spotted a vandalised nest, only few metres away. The bird was removed soon after, and few days later we were informed through the press, that another 2 penguins in the area near the airport and Miramar peninsula, were found dead, and that the wounds suggested a dog's attack.
