sulpher crest cockatoo

Cacatua galerita

Description:

large white cockatoos found frequently in Australia, especially where they can cage a handout for willing humans

Habitat:

on the beach near a small town

Notes:

Cockatoos are destructive(see perch tree which is entirely bare from having its bark picked off) which, along with signs to that effect, doesn't seem to stop the feeding: either at the park or in the home above the highway
