Dichorda iridaria
A very unique larva with winglike dorsolateral flanges. Two large forward-projecting hooks on the dorsum of A8, and a black middorsal stripe. It actually looks like a dried bit of sumac leaf
Woodland, yard
Host plants are sumac and poison ivy. They are very hard to spot, and move very slowly, often quavering from side to side when disturbed.
