Cortinarius subgenus Telamonia
Tough, brown mushroom with a smooth reddish brown cap that had a light tan color around the edge of the cap. Cinnamon brown gills and a brown stem. Mushroom was approximately 9cm tall.
Growing on the ground in a mixed forest.
