Dryas iulia is a strict neotropical butterfly. The reports of Dryas iulia are definitely confirmed and is considered due to escapees from butterfly houses and later on establishment in the Thailand area. The same thing happend to Papilio demoleus in the Caribbean area. It is not clear if it is also an escapee from a butterfly house due to a hurricane in the Dominican Republic or introduced with Citrus products. Globalisation works as well with butterflies...
