(photo1 - male) (photo2 - female) - adults are variable in colour... typical form covered with glittering metallic green to blue-green scales dusted with yellow powder resembling gold... hence its common name.! males are covered with a layer of fine short hairs (pubescent) which is absent in females.! a polyphagous weevil... its considered a minor and sporadic pest of agricultural crops.!
