Anomala orientalis ?
Hotel gardens
Thanks both of you for your thoughts ,I have seen various images that look close ,but as bayucca says not quite the same .Tensions are easing slightly between the two nations ,so you never know .
At first sight it looks not bad, indeed, but a closer look shows some different markings, so I would not dare to confirm your ID. But I would also agree with the family (subfamily as well?). Your ID is an US intruder and the question is if it really managed to crack the US embargo for Cuba ;-)...http://bugguide.net/node/view/416325/bgi...http://bugguide.net/node/view/331049/bgi...http://bugguide.net/node/view/317389/bgi...
It could be what you think, anomala orientalis. Potato beetle? but probably not. I would guess anomala orientalis
