Short-tailed Blue or Tailed Cupid (male)

Description:

The Short-tailed Blue or Tailed Cupid (Cupido argiades) is a butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. It is found from Central Europe to Japan.

Habitat:

Seen in Kijimadaira Yamabikonooka Park at 700m in the mountain behind Nakano, Japan. This species inhabits flowery meadows, woodland clearings and forest edge habitats at elevations between sea level and about 1500m according to locality.
