Octopus cyanea
This Day Octopus - Octopus cyanea was seen during daytime and was out hunting for food. Octopus are master of camouflage and have the ability to change their skin colours and texture within seconds as they moves from their hideout (Pic#5) to the open (Pics #4). Pics #1 & #2 showing them flashing their colours and spreading the webbing on their tentacles to try to 'flush' out their prey from coral blocks.
Tropical reef.

Thanks, @Ashley for the nomination.
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
Thank you, @Mauna :)
