Feral horses

Equus ferus

Horses that live in an untamed state but have ancestors that have been domesticated are not truly "wild" horses, they are feral horses.

Plains of mt. Bukovik, near Sarajevo.

Humans began to domesticate horses around 4000 BC, and their domestication is believed to have been widespread by 3000 BC.
