Feral horses

Equus ferus

Description:

Horses that live in an untamed state but have ancestors that have been domesticated are not truly "wild" horses, they are feral horses.

Habitat:

Plains of mt. Bukovik, near Sarajevo.

Notes:

Humans began to domesticate horses around 4000 BC, and their domestication is believed to have been widespread by 3000 BC.
