Description:

A beautiful medium sized bird in the crow family. It is black and white, with black areas on the wings and tail showing iridescent hints of blue or blue-green.

Habitat:

Clumps of trees near grasslands. Traditionally associated with herds of bison where the magpie would pick ticks off of the bison's back.
