Baorangia bicolor
The color of the cap varies from light red and to brick red. The cap ranges in size from 2-6 inches, with bright yellow pores underneath. When injured, the pore surface produces an indigo blue color, which can be seen in the second picture. The stem is 2-4 inches tall, and is yellow at the apex and red for the lower two-thirds.
Growing along a woodland trail in a mixed forest at Van Vleck Farm and Nature Sanctuary.
"A deep blue/indigo bruising of the pore surface and a less dramatic bruising coloration change in the stem over a period of several minutes are identifying characteristics that distinguish it from the similar poisonous species Boletus sensibilis." - Wikipedia
