Description:

The coal tit is a small bird (10-11 cm, smaller than a sparrow). It has a characteristic black head with a white nape spot, besides the white sides of the face. It also presents white tips on the wing coverts. The bill is black, the legs lead-coloured, and irides dark brown. It is typically a bird of temperate humid conifer forest

Habitat:

Pine tree forest in the mountains, 1500 m. Sierra de Gredos
