Habitat:

Lives above ground, they do not have a particular 'home' and will sleep in any suitable place, continually shifting from one place to another. When a hare rests,it will usually scrape away the vegetation and then lie down on the bare earth. They are often made in the shelter of a grass tussock or a rock which will give them some protection from the wind. It lives in this environment because it has fur to keep it warm and has a good way to hide themselves in tall grass by putting back there ears and crouching down.

Notes:

Breeding: Reproduction, sexual.Hares can breed at any time of the year, but the main season is between January and October.Time between mating and birth 42-44 days. The jacks (males)do most of the boxing, either with each other for a struggle for social dominance,or with Jill's (females)as a prelude to mating. The female tries to defend herself by boxing with the male who can be quite aggressive. He will mate with several females. Symbiotic relationship:Parasitism!!A lynx is a carnivore and a hare is a herbivore. Meaning that the hare eats plants and the lynx eats meat. A hare is a meat, so the lynx could feed of the hair. The Canadian lynx preys heavily off the hare. Species that share the same environment: The environment the hate lives in is wide open fields with tall grass other species that could live there foxes, prairie dogs and other small rodents.
