Cat

Felis silvestris catus

Description:

The domestic cat (Felis catus or Felis silvestris catus) is a small, usually furry, domesticated, carnivorous mammal. It is often called the housecat when kept as an indoor pet, or simply the cat when there is no need to distinguish it from other felids and felines. Cats are valued by humans for companionship and ability to hunt vermin and household pests.

Habitat:

The harbour of Tanger, Morocco.

Notes:

My parents took this picture on vacation in Tanger. As they were pets before, most of the cats live by the harbour and eat fish they get from the fishermen. They are very widespread in colors and the way they look, some look more oriental typed, some are the usual european/common type. This one is somewhere inbetween.

It has been moved to the Pets Category, but this is not really a pet, as it does not belong to someone.. They live wild in the city of Tanger..
