It was hatching day! All of these pictures are probably not the same individual, but they were with in a few feet of each other. On every tree of this hillside of the forest there were 3-20 Larvae splitting off their old shells and trying to finish metamorphosis. (Hundreds of these bugs, amazing and a little bit creepy) We watched every step we took as some of these young adults were falling off the tree and learning to walk in their new bodies.
