Cyanotis cristata
Cyanotis (syn. Tonningia) is a genus of mainly perennial plants in the family Commelinaceae. World-wide, there are an estimated 50-100 species. Cyanotis cristata is an annual herb widespread in old world tropics. It is ubiquitous growing in moist soil in grasslands, outcrops, open areas. It has large populations, not threatened with any risk. It is distributed widely in the old world tropics. It is known from tropical Africa, India, central Himalaya to southern China and peninsular Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam.
