Larus michahellis
The Yellow-legged Gull is a large gull with a length of 52-58 cm and a wingspan of 120-140 cm. The legs of the juvenile spotted here are pink and not yet yellow, and the plumage is spotted.
Spotted on a pier on the shore of a large central European lake. The distribution of this bird has expanded both along the Atlantic coast and into central Europe.
Larus michahellis was formerly treated as a subspecies of either the Caspian Gull L. cachinnans, or more broadly as a subspecies of the Herring Gull L. argentatus. It is named after the German zoologist Karl Michahelles.

Thanks Satyen! The third pic came in quite handy to illustrate the large size of this gull compared to other gull species.
Beautiful! Loved the third pic.
Thank you J! Yes, this plumage is much more interesting that that of the adult!
Lovely! I really like the plumage it is in at the moment!
