Red-winged Blackbird (male)

Agelaius phoeniceus

Description:

As the feathered creatures in Florida are leaving for summer, there is still a large number of these black birds with the red and yellow wing stripes. They can still be heard calling their "Hey can you see me" call. (My interpretation anyway).

Habitat:

Wetlands on cattails and reeds
