Spanish Moss

Tillandsia usneoides

Description:

Epiphytic bromeliad that grows in hanging masses from trees

Habitat:

A tree growing along a hedge in a suburban neighborhood

Notes:

First time seeing this species in Weston, despite the fact that it is so common everywhere else in Florida. Just kinda randomly showed up on this one tree, maybe someone put it there? Makes sense that it doesn't live here though, this entire suburb was landscaped onto what used to be Everglades, so it must have taken awhile for this plant to come back
