Fork-tailed Bush Katydid (female)

Scudderia furcata

Description:

Adopted dry season form. Found through out the US. So what is it with these and bright flowers? http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/163...

Notes:

Found this today with my grandson and husband, walking along the Medina River. My husband pointed out that I had to get closer to the flower and so I did. We were all surprised by this one.
