Gray-headed Junco

Junco hyemalis caniceps

Description:

Mostly gray and gray-brown with a rusty patch on the upper back. Dark shadow over the eyes. Bill is pale. This is in the Dark-eyed Junco family. In the area I found it I also spotted the Mountain Chickadee.

Habitat:

Found this in the foothills of a mountain range. This area was forested by also slightly urban.
