Sharp-shinned Hawk

Accipiter striatus

The bird was slightly bigger that a football. It had a orange and white striped chest, a small grey head, and huge black eyes. The back of this bird was gray with white splotches. The birds talons were very sharp.

This bird was found in our backyard early in the morning. It was sitting peacefully on the pole.

This bird may not be what was suggested but it defiantly is beautiful!
