Indian Mongoose

Herpestes edwardsii

Description:

Elongated body with furry tail.

Habitat:

There are small public parks designated for kids/elderly people etc., in the residential area I live in. This mongoose was spotted hiding behind one of the pillars of the boundary park for the elderly. Had I not come along it would have crossed the road to go to a piece of land that has been lying unused for many years now.
