Bighorn Sheep

Ovis canadensis

On one of my trips through Jasper I came across this large herd of Bighorn Sheep. It was unseasonably warm considering this was January and it was above freezing and raining. The Rockies at this time of year can be brutal but it was a very mild weekend. The sheep took advantage and were out busy grazing for what they could.
