I did find it in the ND badlands. My phone always mixes locations up. Haha I'm jealous of the big horn sheep you saw!

Also, did you find this skull in Montana like your location mentioned or in North Dakota, like your comments mention? If you did find the skull in the Badlands, I'm very jealous! That area is beautiful, when I was there a few years ago I only saw a few big horn sheep! Very cool you got to see all those bison!

Thank you! I saw so many bison on that hike I didn't even think about elk.

Hi Brett! Cool find! However, I don't believe this is a bison skull! From the single picture above, I believe this is a female elk skull! However, if you could add more pictures and give us measurements it might help us more! I would love to have this picture in the "Identifying Animals Through Osteology Mission" as well! :D
