Phyllotocus apicalis

Description:

This small, blossom-frequenting beetle is a member of the Scarabaeidae family and the Melolonthinae subfamily. It is diurnal and around 8mm long. There were hundreds of these beetles flying around the blossoms on the University of Sydney campus today.
